Tethered balloon family entertainment amusement rides lift passengers ~400 ft above ground level offering spectacular vistas. The Balloon is environmentally friendly, silent, and non-polluting. The winch system is entirely electric and carries no hydraulics of any sort. In pristine venues such as a city park, it can be installed entirely above ground with zero ground penetration. Lift is provided solely by inert helium. There is no hot-air involved in any manner. The Balloon travels up and down via a cable/winch system and remains tethered at all times to a single point on the ground. It is never in free flight.
AeroBalloon past projects include locating in the World's most famous city parks including New York City's Central Park; Boston's Boston Common; Chicago's Navy Pier; Major League Baseball's All-Star Game and MLB Stadiums; India's Taj Mahal; Houston's Discovery Green Park; and also the World-Record size 50-PERSON tethered helium balloon.
The balloon is the result of over 60 years of experience with airships and tethered helium balloon rides. The fabric and valve system technology are the same used in airships and blimps. Because it is pressurized, it maintains its firm, aerodynamic spherical shape and is able to fly many hours each
day. The Balloon is designed to remain captive, or tethered, at all times. Once inflated, the balloon will remain permanently inflated throughout its intended seasonal use. Above ground altitude is controlled in a predictable manner using the electric winch, which is permanently anchored to the ground. The entire operation is silent and non-polluting.
